Last weekend I went to see a friend race his motorcycle at Phoenix Firebird Raceway. I had not seen this style of racing previously. I spent pretty much all day Sunday at the track.
My friend, Mark, raced in four or five different races throughout the day. The last race was the one that mattered and it consisted of 12 laps. Mark and another racer are quite competitive against each other but still friendly enough to offer advice. Mark really wanted to beat this other racer.
Prior to the last race, Mark said he didn’t think he was going to do very well. We told him that was not a very positive attitude.
Not only did he beat the other racer but he also came in third overall!
It was a fun day spent with great friends!
