At what point is it ok to be rude? Is it ok to be rude when you are famous (really famous or self-imposed)? Is it ok to be demanding of people when you are famous?

The reason I ask is because I have been at several conferences where people have been quite rude. Recently, I asked a group to lower their voices during a concert (small intimate concert). One of the guys within the group turned to me and said, “Do you know who she is?”.

I don’t think it should matter who someone is, they do not have a right to disrupt someone else’s experience. I am a big fan of Johnny Depp but if he was being rude I know I would approach him as well.

We are all people and deserve to be treated nicely be others.

If I saw Johnny Depp and he and a bunch of friends were talking too loud at a concert, I’d say ‘holy sh#@! It’s Johnny Depp’. Then I’d kick him in the junk and tell him to shut the F#@k up. I agree 100 percent. I’d also ask for his autograph. After I kick him.

It would probably take me a moment before I could tell him he was being rude but I would still have to tell him. And the fact that he was being rude, I would not be so enamored with him any longer.
