The 26th of December we drove up north to check out the Cottonwood house. Fixed a few items and then went to see some friends in Munds Park.
This is from the drive home. Driving south on I-17 between Munds Park and Camp Verde. I was in the moving car and opened up the shutter on the camera to take this. Next time I think I will use a tri-pod and keep the camera steady as the traffic moves past. If you would like to see another, check out Flickr.
This was a fun experiment!

I thought this concert was suppose to be last week! Luckily it wasn’t. Evo was able to go and we did not have to cut short another engagement to make it. Edge 103.9 puts on a free concert on the Third Thursday of every month.
However, last night was not without it’s excitement! The concert was opened by Good with Grenades. I was impressed and I am not usually impressed by opening bands. Unwritten Law opened late due to technical difficulties (singer was still in the air and several instruments got lost in Buckeye). I was front row for several songs and then moved when the crowd got rowdier than I wanted to be with my camera out. I tried to talk a security guard into letting me on the other side of the barricades but in the end he said no (I think he really wanted to let me over)!
The funniest thing is that I went to the back and watched two guys get thrown out. As I was taking pictures another security guard approached me and asked what I was taking pictures of? I said that there were a lot of interesting things to take pictures of and he said that because of the event they didn’t want any photography. I thought that was really funny since I was right next to a security guard the entire time I was taking pictures of the band!

On Wednesday, we woke to extreme fog! On my way out the door, I grabbed my camera just on the off chance I might be able to catch something interesting. Between Chandler Blvd and Ray Road, along the frontage road, there is a small park/soccer field. The field is sunken from the road and the fog was amazing. I couldn’t spend too much time shooting because I had to get to work. You can view the other photos from this series at Flickr.

Okay, so I posted my pendant on Etsy. We’ll see if anyone is interested in it or not. I know I get a lot of compliments on it.
The subjects do not have much to do with each other or actually anything to do with each other. Friday I went to see a friend of mines band, 68 Guns, play. You can check out the pics on my Flickr site. Saturday I went shopping which was really nice. I went up to the Anthem Outlets and spent way too much money! Sunday was a nice relaxing day. The only thing we had to do was get our pictures taken.
Well, take care and I hope the holidays are all you expect them to be.

Maddie likes to get into and under things. I am assuming like most cats. She loves suitcases. She will lie on top or try to get inside.
I hung up my dry cleaning on the door handle and the bag was hanging down on the floor. She scooted herself to this position.

So here is a winter wonderland! This is a photo from last March when we traveled to Telluride, CO for a (you guessed it) hockey tournament. We spent six days there. Evo and I tried to cross country ski and found we didn’t care for it that much. I snow boarded while the boys skied. We had a great time. It is such a neat little community.
I know the rest of the country is freezing right now but here in Phoenix it is quite nice. I wore capris pants today and a long sleeve t-shirt!

I love flowers. I do not get them often because I hate to see them die! However, a friend brought over these lovely daisies. I couldn’t resist taking photos so that I can remember them always. If you want to see more of the daisies check out the Flickr site.
It did make me realize that one of the lens that was stolen this summer from the “smash & grab” in Vancouver is the macro lens that I use all the time. I did go look for one this weekend, but the “evil” man (HEHE) I live with will not allow me to make that purchase right now! So I played with the lens I have and was still able to get rather close. I will work on him some more!
