This is Maddie. Maddie is enjoying her Thanksgiving by being able to spend the day with me. She is my pretty little kitty. She came to us about five years ago. Maddie follows me around the house and tolerates the boys. She doesn’t like other people very much, however, she is getting better about allowing others to pet her. She likes to play baseball with me. She has been the best pet ever!!!!
I spend most of my weekends from August through March going to my son’s hockey games. This year we decided to move from the small town (Cottonwood, AZ) to the big city (Chandler, AZ) to allow my son to get more visibility. He is currently on three teams, which means we usually have three to six games each weekend!
This many games is allowing me to practice my sports photography. The tricky part is shooting through the glass. NJ played at Jobbing.com arena where the Coyotes play. This was the best experience because they have photographer’s cutouts in the glass. I was able to really get some good clear shots. Check out the rest of the hockey pictures.
I thought you might like to see one of the pieces of jewelry I made in a class two years ago. One piece which had a small flower on it I gave to my grandmother. While the other which is sitting in my closet is a piece of twisted silver. The sun piece I get comments about quite often. I have even had a gallery asking about it but when they find out that I only have the one piece they are not quite interested. I will need to work on a few more items. I have some ideas rolling around in my head I just need to find the time to pull them out.
I have been thinking a lot lately about how I became the person that I am today. There are so many people that have influenced me along the way. My family is going to take a look at the individuals who have helped us along the way and create a Wall of Gratitude. This is rather appropriate during this time of year, I suppose but we should really think about those people throughout the year. I will talk about more of the individuals over the next few weeks.
OK, things got a little out of control during the month of October and November. We had company, and more company, and even more company. Don’t get me wrong I am an extremely social creature but I was working and taking two classes at the time. I am done with one of the classes and will be done with the next one in two weeks (it is a fun class though)!
Hockey is out of control right now. With NJ being on three teams, most weekends we have between three and six games. NJ is getting a lot more play time than he has in the past which is wonderful. He is really enjoying playing.
I have been in communications with one of my favorite galleries in Jerome, AZ about the sun pendant. They really like it but only work with artists who have multiple pieces for them to choose from. I will try to work on more pieces so that I can get my work in the galleries. Here is the sun piece for your viewing pleasure.
